The Mission of Excelsior and Associates, LLC

The dual focus of Excelsior and Associates is on providing people and programs that foster equality in health solutions for underserved/underrepresented populations and on the creation of local economic development groups that focus on the accumulation of wealth and the spread of entrepreneurship within their communities.



Since 1985 Excelsior and its associated companies have been involved in diversity recruiting, staffing, training and small business development. The firm was founded in the Washington, DC area and re-emerged in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2000. Excelsior has sharpened and focused its service offerings on the healthcare industry with the vision of assisting individuals and client organizations achieve equality in health solutions by building and sustaining a diverse workforce/workplace capable of educating/training, devising and implementing policies and practices that ensure the delivery of “culturally competent care” and eliminates costly and debilitating disparities in the delivery of healthcare services. In the area of small business development Excelsior is creating a network of small business development groups that focus on the creation of viable local business units. Excelsior’s services include:

Excelsior carefully considered its “lessons learned” in more than twenty-five years of diversity recruiting and human resource support before designing and implementing its “bundled services” menu. Based on the firm’s experience, Excelsior offers a package of “bundled” or individual services to assist healthcare organizations meet their diversity staffing goals through The Excelsior Network.

Excelsior is 100% minority owned with 51% ownership by veterans and a woman partner. The firm is also located within a hub zone.
